The Game of Intros

25 Mar 2009 | : NBA

For some strange reason I like the game LeBron James and Shaquille O’Neal have going with their pregame introductions.

Watch LeBron’s here:

And here is Shaq’s, which I think is hilarious.  Mostly because you know these guys don’t dare say “no” to Shaq:

I love that guys like Shaq, who is 37 years old, can still laugh and have fun getting paid to play a game.

Playoffs are set – Peace out to The Fur

23 Mar 2009 | : Fantasy Hoops

In our league there are nine teams and the Average.  The Average ended the season tied for the second best record in the league (12-8).  I’m not sure what to make of that fact.  However, the Average does not qualify for the playoffs….And neither does The Fur (3-17).  The brackets are set.  Let’s hope DaLoot can beat up on 36DD two weeks in a row!

The #1 Dirty Sanchez vs. #8 Rokers could be interesting as the Rokers have had a higher score than Dirty Sanchez in each of the past three weeks.

The #2 36DD vs. #7 DaLoot matchup is equally intriguing as DaLoot has scored more than 36DD in six of the past seven weeks.

The #3 David Copperfield vs. #6 Royz Boyz matchup could be interesting, they both had 199.5 two weeks ago***

The #4 Fore! vs. #5 Captain Mo could go either way.  They finished with the same 11-9 record, but Fore! had almost 300 more points.

 Here we go….

(1) Dirty Sanchez (2) 36DD

(8) Rokers     (7) DaLoot

(4) Fore!     (3) David Copperfield

(5) Captain Mo (6) Royz Boyz

Week 16-20 Recap

23 Mar 2009 | : Recap

This will have to serve as a recap for Weeks 16 – 20.  I apologize.  36DD and DaLoot both had a hectic last month or so and the site simply didn’t get updated.

Week 16: The Fur lost to David Copperfield by 14 points and The Fur didn’t realize Amare Stoudemire was out for the year so he registered a “0” as a starter.  Someone could have scored 15 for The Fur.  Also, for David Copperfield, LeBron went off for 69 fantasy points.

Week 17: DaLoot recorded his only HIGH SCORE of the year with 232.0 including 31 bench points from Shaq (that would have been 62 as a starter).  There is a reason this squad is not very good and it started on draft day and carries through to not knowing how to manage a team.

Week 18: David Copperfield managed only 93 points.  The injury bug simply caught up to Mr. C.   Even the players that did play didn’t play well.  Chris Duhon, Andre Kirlenko and Chauncey Billups all scored less than 20 fantasy points.  Add that to Baron Davis, Stephen Jackson and Caron Butler being dead and that is a 93 point week.  Even LeBron only scored 33 fantasy points.

Week 19: The Rokers beat up on Dirty Sanchez 239 – 209.5.  LeBron James had 69 fantasy points which helped David Copperfield beat Captain Mo 199.5 -  186.5.  LeBron’s 69 was not the highest total of the week.  D-Wade took that honor with 75.  Yes, you read that correctly, 75 fantasy points.  Amazing.  50 points, 10 rebounds, 9 assists, 4 steals and 2 blocks.

Week 20: In a matchup of 1st vs. 2nd place Dirty Sanchez beat David Copperfield 162.5 – 163.5.  Really?  Two of our top two teams couldn’t score more than 165?  Look out in the playoffs!  More importantly, this loss cost David Copperfield sole possession of 2nd place as DaLoot beat 36DD.  The Average also ended tied for 2nd place.  Wow.
