Week #1 in the Books

There really isn’t anything more deflating than losing in Week #1 and reading not only did you lose, but you were one of the worst teams in the league. Such is life for DaLoot right now. It doesn’t help that his first round pick (Mrs. Carmela Anthony) was suspended and his fifth round pick is out. As soon as I passed on Jason Kidd I knew it would be a mistake. To make me feel better, I hope he retires around Thanksgiving. Another draft day mistake by DaLoot was taking Vincerod (Carter) over Kevin Durant. So far this season, in games that count, VC had 29 fantasy points, KD had 37 fantasy points.
Congratulations to Royz Boyz starting where they left off last year with Week #1′s high total for the week (221.5).
If the Rokers could field a squad (two DNPs on their bench in Week #1), they most likely would have won.
High bench total for the week belonged to 36DD and Fore! with 48.5.
LeBron James, averaged 30ppg last year, had 15 points on Friday night for David Copperfield. However, that may not be the most difficult thing for David Copperfield to stomach in their loss to Captain Mo 192.5 – 187.5. From an email received last night….
“I’m a total nerd but this was my Saturday night: I was on call, so really couldn’t do much and spent the night watching the Texas-Texas Tech game (best game of the year so far, by the way). As I was watching the game, I had my laptop and was watching my fantasy scores. It turned out that Kobe Bryant was the only guy left to play for [Captain] Mo. He needed 12 fantasy points in the last 6:50 of the game to beat me. Well, Kobe got those 12 fantasy points in 5 minutes and ended up getting 17 fantasy points (14 regular points) in the last 6:50. That equates to 119 fantasy points over 48 minutes. There is no player better than Kobe when he wants to be very selfish.”
